    Dear humanity
    You suck.

You continually disappoint, upset, even enrage me, your humble monitor. Repeatedly your greed and apathy destroy the people and world around you, and yet you do not seem to care. The "ME ME ME ME ME MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE" attitude has devastated us and the home we have.

You group up in corporations to exploit and abuse others for your own comfort and greed. You eat to the point of gorging while others starve. You throw away more than most people eat. You abuse those you love, you neglect those who serve you.

Humanity, you are destroying yourself, and maybe you deserve it. There is nothing humane in humanity.... so much so that when someone does something nice, we reward them, but when people do shitty, horrible, inhumane things, we just shrug and expect it.

I'm talking to you, man who raped and murdered a five year old girl.
I'm talking to you, mother who sold said five year old girl to that man for sex.
I'm talking to you, CEO who fires workers to improve your bottom line.
I'm talking to you, hypocrites who thump the bible then go home and rape your children.
I'm talking to you, selfish pricks who do not seem to care about anyone around you.
I'm talking to you, world leaders who sit and do nothing while the world heats up.
I'm talking to you, apathetic fat man sitting in his mom's basement drawing disability because you simply don't want to work.
I'm talking to you, welfare mother spurting out babies for no other reason than more money for you, while your kids have no diapers, clothes, or food.
I'm talking to you, whiney emo kid saying you feel pain when you know nothing of real pain... go to Cambodia and see if your problems compare.
I'm talking to you, those who are not only ignorant, but PROUD of your ignorance... calling it your culture.
I'm talking to you, Kanye West... in general.
I'm talking to you, people who are willing to ignore horrid crimes simply because they don't involve you.

    So, fuck you humanity.
I've tried to care about you. I'm done.

    And here's a post
    My life is boring.

    I work.

    I play video games.

It's not that bad I guess.... I just realize that the time is slipping away, and I can't motivate myself to do anything memorable or even worth talking about.

At least my students like my class, and some of them listen, right?

At least I can face myself in the mirror and not be sad about who I am.

At least I have enough money to buy my video games and not worry too much.

    So, I guess I'm ok.

Bell's about to ring, I have to go to class.

    Bye and stuff.

    Cat Drama (REALRANT PLEASE READ)
    Hey all...

So, my mom's cat, which is a teenaged boy as cats go, was running and playing as usual. Somehow, he got hold of a wooden kebab skewer (Like a really big toothpick.) He managed to stab himself in the back of the throat, which led to a thrashing, bleeding cat flailing around with a 10 inch stick coming out of his mouth.

Now, we removed the skewer, stopped the bleeding, and the swelling isn't too bad. He lost some blood, so he was tuckered out yesterday.

But what worries me is that today he's still lethargic. He's not yowling, and he still has his voice, (He still meows quietly) and I'm guessing he's in pain, but not a super great deal of it. But, he won't go to the litter box unless you take him, and he's not eating or drinking. (Which I can understand, but it still worries me.)

He's looking better, he's alert, he's purring. But he just... sits there. Even if you put him down on the ground, he just stands there, looking tired. He looks around, but he just... stands there.

Is this normal behavior in a wounded cat? I'd take him to the vet, but he doesn't need stitches. His ears are cool, so I don't think he's running a fever. The swelling is down, so I don't think it's infected. Will any of you pet experts out there help my mom out with some advice here? Thanks

    Late tribute
I just found out one of my friends from Springfield, Jim the Photographer from the "Morning Disaster" died a couple years ago.

    I'm all bummed out now.

RIP Jim. You were a SUUUUUUUUUUPER dude.

I'll always remember our chess matches in the Lincoln Land IMRC.

Hope you are covered in "hot babes" up in heaven, bro.

    Fun time with da 'Pooter
So, I spent the entire weekend looking for why my computer was locking up.

Tried to uninstall my video drivers and reinstall them. Computer couldn't uninstall them. (Got an error code)

Tried to install and run a driver sweeper. When I tried to run it, I kept getting an error code saying it failed to initialize (00xc00007) or something like that. Tried a different driver sweeper. Same problem.

Finally, I resolve that I'm virus'd, and reinstall windows on C drive. Same problem. So, I format my slave drive (D and E) now... everything is wiped.

Same problem, just different code instead of the 00xc blah blah whatever).

But computer doesn't seem to freeze up anymore.

    Until just now. Sigh.

    New Idea!
This just in from the US congress: Proposal for the Health Care Crisis... FINE THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE INSURANCE!

What a fabulous fucking idea! Make health insurance mandatory, like car insurance, then fine those without it.

Ya know, since all Americans have money falling out of their asses. So, if you have a bit of money saved up, save some more... because very soon, YOU may have to pay for that super expensive health insurance every month... because the alternative could be a 750 Dollar fine every year you don't.

Yup, those elected officials... always coming up with great ideas.

    Fuckers.

    End of an era?
    Teddy Kennedy died.

    Meh.

I can't bring myself to be upset or even bothered by this news. In fact, in general, I can't bring myself to be bothered by anything. I'm too bored of things.

    Life is boring.

I need something, but I don't know what.

Your life will be mediocre and disappointing. You will not achieve your dreams. Learn to settle and stop complaining. Your lucky numbers are 3,12, 18, and 31. Go play the lottery and lose, wishing for something better than the grind you call your life.

    Dear Humanity
    Dearest Humanity,

This letter is to advise you that I am disappointed in your behavior and progress in life. Honestly, I am surprised at your lack of motivation, drive, and sense of decency. While your potential is vast, your propensity seems to be to take the easiest way out nearly every time.

I hope to see some improvement in the near future, be advised that this warning is made with the best intentions at heart. I simply hate to see you fall short of your potential so often... and so dramatically.

    Sincerely,
    Matthew A. Lufcy

    Day in Day out
Coming up next month, I'll have been here for 3 years. 3 YEARS, man.

So, I'm making a tally of all the things I miss, in no particular order:

I miss being able to socialize any time, with nearly anyone.

    I miss Taco Bell.

I miss holiday visits to my grandmother's house.

    I miss zero latency pings.

I miss being able to not be involved in racism 24/7.

    I miss 24 hour Wal-Mart. (And Steak n Shake)

    I miss backyard cookouts.

    I miss snow.

    I miss Autumn air.

    I miss Halloween decorations.

    I miss the Jaycee Hall.

    I miss logic.

I miss catching little bits of conversations I could understand when sitting somewhere, doing nothing.

I miss driving without constant traffic and U-turns. (I miss turning lanes and exit ramps).

I miss late night political or philosophical discussions.

I miss my friends and my brother, Sam.

    THINGS I DON'T MISS

I don't miss unfriendly coldness in people.

I don't miss constant drama and gossipmongering.

I don't miss living hand to mouth constantly.

I don't miss only being able to afford a tiny apartment with roommates.

    I don't miss NASCAR fans.

I don't miss not getting laid.

    I don't miss constant expectations.

I don't miss planning for everything, even leisure time.

    I don't miss George W. Bush.

    I don't miss credit ratings.

    I don't miss American Cops.

I don't miss the American dating scene.

I don't miss always having to walk on eggshells any time a minority or woman is around, for fear of saying the wrong thing.

I don't miss sports bars or frat boys.

I don't miss constantly feeling inferior to those with more stuff than me or thinner than me.

I guess things are ok here. I'm currently the head of the Social Studies department at my school, which means a slight pay raise, but a TON more interaction with the administration, and thus, more headache.

Mom's fine... we moved to a cheaper place, so she'll have more money to decorate the house with. Her health is holding up, and she seems generally happy.

I'm generally happy. I could do a lot worse than where I'm at, that's for sure. I just wish my friends could come enjoy it with me.

    I met someone infamous!
You just never can tell who you'll meet in this country.

So, I'm having lunch at a local pizza/sandwich shop a week or two ago. A guy and his girl come in. The guy is Dutch, the girl, Californian.

I talk to them a bit. The guy introduces himself as Joran. Later, I say I knew someone from America with Dutch heritage, Ashley Van Der Sloot. He mentions that it's his name too.

I couldn't shake the feeling that I had met this dude before. It just stuck with me, until one of my co-teachers said he had met a guy here who was wanted for murder, but aquitted.

    Then it hit me.
Joran Van Der Sloot. The main suspect in the disappearance of that girl, Natalee Holloway. The Alabama girl who went missing in Aruba.

I live in the same fucking village as Joran Van Der Sloot. THE Joran Van Der Sloot.

Here's the Wikipedia article on the case, in case you forgot:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joran_van_der_sloot

Dude was aquitted, mostly in part because of his rich and powerful dad. Most people assume he knows what happened, and he's told many stories.

And I sat and chatted with him and his American girlfriend, who is also college age... and blonde....

    Fucking scary man.

    An opportunity
I have been in a Closed Beta for about 5 weeks now.

I have the opportunity to invite one person into it. Anyone interested?

    Requirements:
A decent system... the game isn't optimized yet, and you will need at least a 2.6 dual core processor and 2G of RAM to really be able to do much in this game.

Time... it would be nice if you could play the game more than once a week, but there is no commitment to the time you should or must play.

Enthusiasm.... to make a great game. You will be expected to submit bug reports if you find any.

So, if you are interested in a REALLY FRIGGING AWESOME game that will be coming out this year, and you want to get in on this Beta action, let me know. I'll have the devs send you an email.

Are you fucking kidding me? Death threats because Joe Biden bought a puppy from a breeder?

Who gives a fuck? Let the rich have their thoroughbreds. I don't care... I mean, really... this is the most stupid shit I've ever heard...

Fuck PETA. That's it. Fuck PETA in its ear. I'm tired of having to walk on eggshells when it comes to ANIMALS. What next? PETP? People for the ethical treatment of plants?

Will they threaten to burn you alive if you trim your hedges? Will they sit and sing motivational hymns when you mow your lawn?

    I mean really... fuck people.

    Thai politics... as usual
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090409/wl_afp/thailandpoliticsprotestpm;_ylt=AtkSliuiPdCUkduySmLYMShvaA8F

Thailand is once again making news with idiots demanding the step down of a prime minister.

See, here's what happens. There are the yellow shirts, supported by the rich, educated, middle class, and royalists. Then there are the red shirts, who are the poor, uneducated, and rural.

Thaksin, the ousted PM, is loved by the poor, because he did a HELL of a lot of bread and circus type stuff while in office. (Cheaper mobile phones, all of which profited his mobile phone service providing company... cheaper health care, a murderous war on drugs...)

Most people with an education or a BRAIN know that Thaksin was an opportunistic businessman. He claims to be "of the people." however, if you look at his history, he was born into wealth, lost it, moved to America where he failed out of a Texas university, before getting a law enforcement degree, then came back to Thailand and invested in mobile phones, with which he made millions. Not exactly a farmer.

So, he got ousted for being a corrpupt bastard. Even the military agreed that he needed to go, and set up a proxy government until new votes could be done. Of course, the poor outnumber the rich in Thailand BIG TIME, and in general, they are bribed with pocket cash by the candidates. So, Thaksin's friends win every election. After a string of Thaksin proxies, the yellow shirts finally had enough, and stormed the airports.

Now, we have Aphisit. A man who grew up in England, and is more worldly than most of the men in politics. He's been level headed, cool, and decent so far. He did NOT overturn any of Thaksin's popular programs, either.

So what do the red shirts do? Storm the capital and demand he be kicked out. Thaksin, who is on the lam, sent a big video to his supporters encouraging them more. What a fucking chickenshit. He can't even come back to his own country, but he's stirring up protests here. Fuck him in the ear. Seriously.

Did I mention that Thaksin was a buddy of George W. Bush? When he was outsted, Bush was the first to publicly decry the situation. On TV. Loudly.

Anyway, there is no way this system can work. If the poor win, the rich make a mob and protest. If the rich win, the poor make a mob and protest. Nothing gets done.

I think it's time for the military to take control of this country again. It's what always happens, because simply put, the Thai citizens can't seem to do it. Ever.

The military tends to lean towards the yellow shirts, but there are plenty of poor people in the military, so they don't lean too far.

Of course, if the King was younger, I'd be all for going back to a total Monarchy. Thailand has been in shambles politically since the early 1900s, when they became a Constitutional Monarchy.

You see, having been the only Asian country to not get colonized by a western power, the Thais seem to have this idea that their politics is better... more pure somehow. As a westerner, I just see it as they didn't get to learn anything from western politics. So, they make all the same dumb mistakes, thinking they're moving forward.

    They're not.

Oh well... unless civil war breaks out (doubtful) I'll still be here. Economy sucks too bad to go anywhere else, anyway.

Soooo... looking for things to do over the break.

Got invited to a CLOSED BETA of a shiny game that I can not tell you about because of the Non Disclosure Act.

    But it's awesome.

So, between that and painting models I bought last year, I will have something to do over the break.

Now you see... this article is SO quintessentially Thai. Thai people love to put on a show, they love fun, they like to help each other out. This is something that warms the heart.

I wish the whole world could be this casually fun.
